How to measure your bra size - an easy guide
First you will need a flexible measuring tape. (Alternatively use string and then measure with a ruler.)
Put on a comfortable bra. Do not wear a padded, minimising or push up bra.
Stand up with your back straight. Keeping the measuring tape level with the floor, measure around your back, underneath the armpits, above your breasts. If this measurement is even - this is your 'band' size. If the measurement is odd add 1". So if you measure 33" add 1" making the band size 34".
Next measure loosely around the fullest part of your breasts. This is your 'cup' measurement. Now you need to subtract your band size from your cup size. So if your band size is 34" and cup is 35" the difference is 1" which equals an 'A' cup. Each inch is equivalent to a cup size.
Therefore:-
1" = A
2" = B
3" = C
4" = D
5" = DD
Bra styles and brands do vary so this is just a general rough guide for which size bra will suit you best.
